I am participating in the "Reid's Ride Bike-a-thon" on Sunday, July 22, 2007. This will be the third annual ride to benefit the fight against cancers in adolescents and young adults. The route is 28 miles from Lynnfield to Gloucester and is in support of the Reid R. Sacco Memorial Foundation. Reid was a Lynnfield HS graduate and had been accepted to Columbia Univerisity. He had a two-year battle with sarcoma from age 18 to 20. In his short life, he inspired and touched an incredible number of people with his courage, perseverance, ambition, hope, humor, intelligence, humility, generosity, and kindness.

This ride has special meaning to me, since Julie, my fiance', was recently diagnosed with A.L.L.; a type of adult Luekemia. This is one way to show your support for Julie, while contributing to fund research that can benefit her and so many other young adults with all types on cancers.

Julie can't join me this time, but she'll be there to cheer me on and greet me at the end of the ride.

Thank you again for your encouragement and support!
